Quincy Massachusetts – New Downer Landing

The Quincy, Massachusetts area known as “Lovell’s Grove” was purchased in 1870. It was fixed up with buildings suitable for picnics parties and later renamed “New Downer Landing” (as noted in the ad above) – Owned and serviced by the Boston , Qunicy and Nantasket Pt Steamboat Co.
In 1909, area and buildings were converted to dwellings and is currently owned by Edison Electric.
