Oxford Massachusetts History Pond Photograph

1940′s beach scene from Carbuncle Pond in Oxford Massachusetts.

Name is derived from an old myth , both in Europe and America, which stated that a carbuncle of large size, at certain favorable hours, might be seen gleaming from its depths.

Photograph is taken from a post card.
