The Tremont Watch Works – Melrose, Massachusetts 1867
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009March 8th, 1867
THE TREMONT WATCH WORKS, under the direction of Bigelow Bros. & Kennard, which has heretofore occupied part of the building at the corner of Washington and Franklin streets, Boston, in consideration of the great inconvenience felt for lack of room, have determined to remove their machinery and business to the town of Melrose, Mass.
A large and handsome building has been purchased near the railroad station in that village, which will give all the needed room for the present.
Melrose is on the line of the Boston & Maine railroad, about seven miles from Boston, and is a very pleasant little place.
