Callahan Arrested and Five Women Strike Leaders Summoned at Clinton Ma. 1912

Lancaster Mills Weavers Strike.   Clinton, Massachusetts – May 11th, 1912   

1:00 A.M.

 
“Dennis Callahan , 35 years old, Chestnut Street (Clinton Massachusetts) , chairman of the strike committee of the weavers and at the head of the Clinton branch of I.W.W. was arrested at 12:45 AM . The warrant was sworn out by Chief of Police George S Gibson.   He is charged with disturbing the peace on 15 counts that cover 2 weeks.

Callahan was bailed out for 300.00

Summons for disturbing the peace were also issued for 5 woman involved in the strike.”
