I was just thinking about how Central Massachusetts is chock full of great small libraries. Their small brick or stone structure giving few clues to the huge wealth of local history inside.

Looks like this is changing in one town. 

If size is an indicator, the Library of Congress is being moved to the small town of Bolton.

The addition is being added onto the backside of the 1904 library.  It’s adding 12,000 square feet.

 While any money and square footage thrown at our public libraries is a good thing, it’s going to be hard to pull this one off visually.   The 1904 library is such a beautiful building…..

I looked around for drawings of the finished product.. No luck..

 I’m holding my breath on this one…
